LaVilla in Lights is a year-end holiday event celebrating community at Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing Park.

This themed event honors the history of the LaVilla neighborhood by recalling the spirit of community from holidays past. The event kicks off with Live Soultry Jazz from singer Akia Uwanda, features a vendor market and activator awards celebration, then culminates in a special showing of the movie "This Christmas." This event is free, family-friendly and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to watch the movie from the Lifted Lawn.

Event schedule:

• 4-5 p.m.: Live Soultry Jazz with Akia Uwanda

• 4-9 p.m.: Vendor Market & Activator Awards Celebration

• 6:30-9 p.m.: “This Christmas” Movie Screening
